These tips are great for seasoned female entrepreneurs as well to use as a biz audit. If women don't link up early with the right Biz Bestie; they might as well start applying for a job at target.

So, what business essentials does a female entrepreneur need to know in order to become successful?

They need a good heart beat. Just like your body can't function without your heart beat neither can your business. To function efficiently and effectively, your business needs a solid-proven business plan that keeps everything running smoothly covering essential areas ranging from funding, foundationals, audience, platforms, marketing and sales. As a bare minimum, the biz plan needs to answer 3 key questions #1 what business stage are they currently in, #2 where do they want to be and #3 how they will achieve their desired success during a specified time frame. The bottom line is this, there are biz essentials every business women must implement to successfully start her business but, it is equally as vital to have a Biz Bestie guiding you on how to best utilize it at each stage of your business.

How vital is having a vision to achieving success?

Uh how vital is seeing to driving; it's like that. Your vision drives your business and helps you answer all the big why questions you need to direct how to achieve success in an authentic way. This is how you ensure your biz daily operations feels right to you and for your customers and answers the BIG WHY questions of why am I doing this, why would they buy and why would I want to reinvest back into my community. The big takeaway is this, if you don't know why you're in business; it's going to run off the preverbal road to success.

Are having goals important to being successful?

Not having goals is one of the biggest mistakes I see female entrepreneurs make when first starting a business. If you want to successfully start and confidently scale your business you gotta plan out not only the step-by-step of how you're going to achieve your success but, also measure your milestones, stay organized as you actually do the work and stay motivated (I suggest celebrating achievements weekly because hey -who doesn't love a good brunch mimosa with the win squad or your biz bestie.) Think about it this way, if you don't have business goals, it's like being on a neverending hamster wheel of chasing success.

What are the steps female entrepreneurs need to take to ensure their biz is legal?

This is the scary part no one ever tells you about being a female entrepreneur. There are about 8 legal requirements female entrepreneurs need to know to ensure their business is compliant. The top 3 I'd recommend for you to focus on as a Certified Business Strategist; would be #3 determine your business structure which is based on your biz vision and funding, #2 make sure you get any required license or permits and most important #1 ensure you pay those darn taxes or work out a payment plan with your state or IRS compliance regulators. And I'll leave you with this final thought, as the old saying goes; one thing is for sure... death and taxes.
